Started in 1996 by Matt Morin, Johnny Animation is a full-service motion graphics, animation, and video post-production company. Since then, Matt has worked with such varied clients as 20th Century Fox, Brown University, Sharp Electronics and The Discovery Channel. Most recently, Matt has created Broadcast ID packages for the HITN Network in New York, and concept work for 20th Century Fox’s remake of “The Omen”.
Matt currently resides in Swansea, MA with his wife and 3 children.
He really hates writing about himself too.

January 1996 – Present: Principal
Owned and operates a freelance animation, motion graphics & video production company specializing in 2D & 3D animation & post-production. Clientele include 20th Century Fox, The Discovery Channel, Amica Insurance, North Safety Products, Brown University and American Power Conversion, Swiss Army, and Cardi’s Furniture.

April 1997 – April 2003: Full Time
April 2006-Present: Adjunct Faculty
Designed, created, and instructed Associate Level classes in Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Video Streaming, Web Design, and New Topics in Multimedia. Organized, developed & presented a Photoshop seminar for Faculty Development. Produced a series of: 30 TV spots for the college. Currently teaching 1 class per semester in either After Effects, Flash, or Final Cut Pro.
Spot Interactive: Providence, RI
September 1996 – January 1999: Animator, Design Associate
Responsible for all animation and compression duties. Produced animated gifs and Flash animations for the websites of Sony Chemicals, Business Surplus Inc., Oop Contemporary Gift Gallery, OOP Juice, JT Communications, Avici, and massAV. Built and compressed CD-ROM animations for Bay Networks, Fidelity, General DataComm, and Network Six.
Spot Video: Providence, RI
Animator, September 1996 – March 1998
Storyboarded, designed and created full motion video animations for Textron, RI Resource Recovery Corporation, Towers Perrin and General DataComm. Assembled full broadcast packages and stylebooks for The Skiing Weatherman, Cox Channel 3, and URI Basketball.
